Bridging the Gap: Moving from Text to Sermon
Through the work of the Spirit, every preacher–whether consciously or unconsciously–bridges the gap between the ancient text of Scripture then to the sermon they preach now. Using cutting edge approaches to Biblical study, this continuing education workshop works closely with each participant: (a) to help you identify and hone your own personal approach to Scripture; (b) to simplify and clarify the process of moving from the ancient text to the modern world we live in; and (c) to gain handles and insights into proclaiming the amazing grace of Jesus Christ to people hungry for an authentic Word from God.
Led by Dr. Merwyn S. Johnson and the ICSM team, this interactive continuing education program is for preachers at any stage of ministry, including ordained pastors, commissioned lay pastors, and other church professionals. We hope you can join us!

Workshop materials, lunch, snacks, and drinks will be provided.
Before the Workshop (Optional): You will be invited to submit 2-3 written sermons or devotionals in advance of the workshop.
